QUOTES I HEART {@ THE MOMENT}

To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget.

Advert: OLX - rather hillarious

.
Just so you know, I hardly have time for the idiot box {read: television} as a result of the daily grind.

The last bit was deliberate.
Just to make my day sound dramatically uneventful, dreadful and boring … which in most cases far from it! …… thankfully!
.
In any case my quota of movies are met on plane rides.
And sadly my quota for advertisements are hardly ever met as the time spent in the hotel rooms are limited or in front of an idiot box almost non-existence even on the road.

My mom will attest to my almost hypnotized state - eyeballs glued - to the television set the moment I have a chance, especially when adverts are on.
I could be in the most exciting and vibrant cities of the world … adverts first.
I could be in the loveliest 'Leading Hotels of the World {LHW}' … adverts first.
It does annoy her, but … adverts first.

I've got a thing for adverts.
Sure, they get mundane after some time … well, like all else each of us are geniuses in limited ways. So, the creative director of a GREAT advert will tend to have a limited style to it as well; often GREAT ones are emulated and/or adapted to different markets.

When I first saw this OLX advert - well, it was funny {hardly original}, but nevertheless the Saatchi & Saatchi team in India was deserving of the credits.

Here's some of the adverts - I did imply it does get a bit stale after the second one!
.

.
The Hindi version {which I can't understand} is has a slightly different slant:

Here's what the creative folks have to say:
.
“To illustrate the fact 'sentimentalism is only skin deep' we had to make funny, irreverent film that held up a mirror to people. That made them realise as they smiled that the 'right price' is more important than 'sentimental value'. Rajesh Krishnan of Soda Films has done a fab job, as he always does.”
